An embroidered, lacy white apron hangs on the clothesline at this little adobe farm house. Chickens peck about in the yard and yucca and cholla grow on the nearby hill. The old tin roof has been lovingly patched and the porch boasts a well worn Persian rug, a hand-carved door, and red chile ristras. Something good is being cooked on the woodstove inside--you can see the smoke curling up into the bright blue sky.
