A hardy flock of chickens wander about in the turquoise snow of a pueblo winter. Inside the warm adobe home, someone has the fireplace going--you can almost smell the pinon pine aroma as the smoke curls up into the crisp cold air. Red chile ristras hang near the blue door and the vigas are exposed. A gentle snow is falling, the flakes are like stars falling from the sky. Soon the horno will be fired up and soft warm pueblo bread will be baked inside.
